I booked, now what?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your first session, this will give us time to chat about specific goals and expectations. If it’s your first session we’ll go over a few forms. Please be as transparent and honest as possible, your safety is my number one concern. Outside of your first appointment, please arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled session.
Where is the studio?
Enter the Washington street mills through the main entrance with a ramp. Go through the lobby to the main elevator. Go to floor 3. Exit elevator and go left. I’ll meet you at the end of the hallway 15 minutes early for first time appointments and 5 for returning clients.
What do I wear?
Dressing to your personal comfort level allows you to feel the most relaxed which allows for the best massage benefits. It is about 50/50 whether clients choose to completely disrobe or wear undergarments. Only the body part currently being worked will be exposed. You will have privacy at the beginning and end of the session to undress and redress.
Thai massage is a modality completed fully dressed on a floor mat. Please wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing.
Are there any contraindications for massage?
There are some situations where massage is not safe. If there are present symptoms or contraindications, clients may be required to postpone their massage, and depending on the situation, a doctor’s note may be required. This is at the discretion of the massage therapist.
What if I have to use the bathroom? Or I’m too hot? Or the pressure isn’t just right?
Communicate, communicate, communicate! There will be a robe present if you need to get up and use the restroom. The table temperature can be changed, pressure can be adjusted, but only if I know about it. Be like Goldilocks, let’s get this right for you, you deserve it!
